My life has been a great adventure. I'm a mom, nana, writer, quilter, retired nurse/midwife, former deputy sheriff, and avid reader. I love life and I am so grateful for all my many blessings.

Married young, I became a military wife during the Vietnam era, traveling across the southeast. In 1973, I lived in Greece.  Before I could blink, I was the mom of three amazing sons.  Years later, I am the nana to three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Those eight souls are my greatest blessings and gifts.

I began creative writing in 1997 and currently have four published books.  You may see more at: www.wildwolfwomanwriter.com

I learned to cook as a young woman in high school. As a new mom, I loved cooking nutrient-dense foods for my sons. Living in Greece, Texas, and Louisiana , I expanded my repertoire of mostly Southern cooking.  Now, I have added Italian/Sicilian cuisine to my basket. Am I a chef? No.  I am a woman who loves good, nutritious foods with a horrific sweet tooth that I am trying to tame.  (I do adore baking.)

I have recently added a new tool to my cooking toolkit--a Thermomix TM6. This amazing appliance is widely used in Europe, South America, and Australia.  It can warm, boil eggs, ferment, sous vide, steam, slow cook, thicken, boil, caramelize, brown, saute, chop, blend, whip, emulsify, knead, grind, and weigh.  This is in only ONE appliance. And if that doesn't impress you, it also has a library of over 40,000 recipes from around the globe, all at your fingertips on the appliance. With step-by-step directions, even a novice cook can become an accomplished one with the help of this amazing German technology. With the steamer basket and two-layered Verona, you can cook an entire meal in one appliance, saving time, energy, and clean-up. This is a great gift idea for any new couple's wedding registry, but is just as beloved by young families or retired persons living in a travel trailer.

Please feel free to email me via this website and leave your email address so that I can update you when new recipes are published. I appreciate feedback. I will be publishing Thermomix recipes as well as traditional ones.  Thanks for stopping by. Bon Appetit!

Regards,

Brenda
